Roll of the Month is our rolling showcase. Every entry is a photo of a real roll posted by a member, with a line about the paper, filter and technique they used. Past rolls stay in the grid below, so the section doubles as an archive — if you're stuck on a canoeing joint or a blunt that won't seal, there's a good chance someone here has already solved it and photographed the result.

Ratings run from one to five stars and anyone signed in can leave one. A roll needs at least three ratings before it can win, so a single enthusiastic friend can't hand out the prize, and the winner is simply the highest average within that calendar month. Winners take home a pack of rolling papers from the brands covered in our papers section, and their roll is kept in the winners list as the month's record.

What earns stars: an even burn with no side-tracking, paper pulled tight enough to draw smoothly, clean glue work and a filter sitting flush with the edge. Photograph the finished roll on a plain surface in daylight. A dark table flatters a clean edge, but a cluttered background hides the one thing people are judging.
